I'm Committed to Funding Alzheimer’s Research Right Here in Minnesota
Hi there! Thanks for finding this website that shares so much hope in the fight against Alzheimer’s! You found me because you are searching for answers…
…and I’m here because I have been compiling all the answers you seek. And if I don’t have them, I’ll find them. Because I have dedicated my entire career to helping cure this devastating disease.
My name is Anna Shelander. But truthfully, you can call me “Alzheimer’s Anna” – which more and more people seem to be doing. That’s because I’m a crusader that will not stop until I see a cure for Alzheimer’s. I have your back. I don’t have an “off” button, but instead am “on all the time.”
I founded The Curing Alzheimer’s Disease Foundation officially in 2022. The goal of my nonprofit is to ensure that promising theories regarding what could be causing this disease get the attention they deserve. And those that are passe – that after twenty years don’t yield – get less funding.
The current idea that Beta-Amyloid is the “Bad Guy” has had it time to prove itself – and it hasn’t.
The answer to what is causing Alzheimer’s needs to come from another theory…one mainstream but gaining momentum. An outlier, that’s gaining attention: which is exactly where our Foundation’s funding focuses: …My dad ‘s unbelievable case: he repeatedly and durably reversed his Alzheimer’s symptoms! AND he preserved brain tissue!
That’s the fringe. One person – a scientist himself – decides he will subject himself to 6 year of theory.
This wasn’t animal model. This was Human…
And proves that some forms of Alzheimer’s can be reversed.
I must emphasize that I need your support. In the form of a tax-deductable donations. We have a secure donation form on my foundation’s main website: www.CuringAlzheimersDisease.com There you will find lots of evidence-based information about risk factors for this disease as well as actionable things you an do to prevent or slow this disease.
I always end all my letters: Best in Health – because that is what you will find if you follow me.
My Foundation's Journey and Impact
My father – Dr. David E. Crandall DDS -is the brain behind our Foundation – literally. Though he had the highest level of Alzheimer’s possible, his brain upon autopsy was well preserved and capable of function. Researchers thought it was just great Genes at play until they came to realize that he’d been medicating himself over the years…and it’s this surprising drug regimen that researchers believe are the strongest clue yet for the Cure for Alzheimer’s Disease. Dr. Crandall’s drug protocols and brain will be studied at The Alzheimer’s Legacy Lab at the University of Minnesota. His miraculous journey provides hope that someday soon this disease will have a treatment…and can be cured.
What Sets our Alzheimer's nonprofit Apart from Others…
Based in Stillwater, the CAD Foundation makes sure your money stays here at home where it goes toward running the UMN Alzheimer’s Legacy Lab and supports our Alzheimer’s Prevention program being offered to older Minnesotans and Western Wisconsinites.
We Support One Lab at a Time
We feel the “spray and pray” method of funding research lacks the accountability and efficiency needed to cure this disease. Which is why we are only supporting the UMN Alzheimer’s Legacy Lab.
We Will See the Science Through
The CAD Foundation is committed to funding The Alzheimer’s Legacy Lab from hypothesis to conclusion. No other non profit has made this promise to its research partners before.
